HUGO Human Body Model
The CST STUDIO SUITE™ product family allows to import arbitrary voxel data sets. The most prominent and most often used one is the anatomical data set of the Visible Human Project® . The so-called Voxel Man is based on a dissected male corpse sliced into several thousand layers.

The import is performed via an interface that allows different resolutions (1mm to 8mm) and different material tissues to be chosen. The area of interest can be selected a priori in a side view and front view.

Once the model has been imported into the CST STUDIO SUITE 2006™ the materials are accessible via the navigation tree. Multiple selection of materials and re-assigning e.g. parameterised frequency dependant properties can be done.

CST EM STUDIO™ (CST EMS) is applied to the simulation of a magnetic injection valve by use of its non-linear magnetostatic solver. The aim of the simulation is to obtain the force on the valve armature as a function of the air gap between the armature and the main valve housing. Using the powerful and easy-to-use parameterisation features in CST EMS, a familly of force curves as functions of gap and excitation current can be easily generated.
