Historically, CST has always enjoyed a strong relationship with academia, exchanging ideas and thoughts, and offering a range of educational and research licences.

Of particular interest to universities are the restricted versions of our simulation tools which are primarily intended for teaching and training purposes and are offered at a very reduced rate. Due to its unique user friendliness, CST MICROWAVE STUDIO® is outstandingly suitable for student training programs, while its cutting-edge modelling and representational techniques offer outstanding teaching potential.

University Publication Award

In acknowledgement of the importance of university research and the impact of groundbreaking publications on the reputation of both author and tool used for the research, CST announces the endowment of a University Publication Award. Contributions making reference to simulations made with one of CST's software tools are eligible for consideration. Three papers will be selected from the qualified transmittals and the respective university institutes will be equipped with an upgraded licence for one year.

We therefore invite Universities to apply for this award by sending contributions in English language, published between April 1st 2007 and March 31st 2008 in electronic format, stating place of publication, before April 15th.

New in the University Publication Award 2008

There is one change with respect to the previous awards. An additional prize will be given to the best short paper (4 pages or less) in the competition.
