These features will be previewed at European Microwave Week (EuMW) 2013, booth #103.
Engineers involved with planar arrays often estimate the performance of the array from single elements, using array synthesis methods to determine the number of elements required, their spacing and the relative excitations. Although this approach provides a good starting point, it does not include a number of practical effects, such as mutual coupling, or the influence of the feed network – and indeed, the actual layout of the feed network.

CST and Delcross are pleased to announce that Delcross Technologies’ EMIT (Electromagnetic Interference Toolkit) and Savant are now available world-wide through all CST sales channels. The software will be fully supported by CST’s skilled team of electromagnetic specialists.
EMIT analyzes multi-antenna platforms and predicts cosite interference between RF systems attached to the antennas. EMIT is able to take output data directly from CST STUDIO SUITE® and, along with other data such as parametric radio models or actual measurements, build up a complete system-level picture of potential interference problems. Once the system has been simulated, strategies for mitigating interference effects can be explored within the software.

December 6th, 2012 – Computer Simulation Technology (CST), Darmstadt, announces winners of the CST University Publication Award 2012. The CST University Publication Award is an annual grant to university institutes and researchers for work related to 3D EM field simulation applications. The winners are awarded extensions and upgrades to their CST STUDIO SUITE® installations to recognize the importance of their work and to promote further research.
There are three conditions for participation: the papers must be authored or co-authored by university researchers, they must have been published either in scientific journals or conference proceedings, and the numerical results must be entirely or in part obtained through simulations using CST software products.
