CST MPHYSICS® STUDIO (CST MPS) enhances the simulation capabilities of CST's EM simulators by offering users to include thermal and structural mechanics effects in their projects. As part of CST STUDIO SUITE®, MPHYSICS® is seamlessly integrated in our userfriendly design environment. Data can be easily transferred between the high frequency (CST MICROWAVE STUDIO®) and low frequency (CST EM STUDIO® (CST EMS)) EM simulation codes, and CST MPS.
The thermal solvers are designed to solve simple thermal problems which often occur in conjunction with high power or PCB simulations. The thermal solvers are capable of solving stationary or transient temperature distributions.
The structural mechanics solver is particularly useful for including mechanical effects resulting from heat load on the device under virtual test in the simulation. The deformation can be used for sensitivity analysis.
